Voodoo Lab ISO 5 Review and Special

Voodoo Lab ISO 5 Review

The ISO 5 is a compact, versatile, well spec’d power supply perfect for Pedalboards and Rack Systems where space is tight or your budget doesn’t quite extend to the Pedal Power 2+.  If you have an existing Pedal Power unit and have run out of outputs you can simply ‘piggy back’ the two supples together via a Female IEC to Male IEC cable.  This reduces the need for yet another cable and helps reduce clutter.

Handy features of the ISO 5:

Dedicated 18 Volt output, perfect for running drive and boost pedals at a higher voltage.  Pedals like the Mi-Effects Crunchbox and Fulltone Fulldrive 2 particularly like 18 Volts.

High current output for the TC Electronics Nova pedals e.g. Delay, Mod, Reverb and Drive.  No need for a Current Double Cable.

High current output for the Eventide ‘Factor’ series e.g. Timefactor, Modfactor, Pitch Factor and maybe one day soon the Verb Factor! No need for a Current Double Cable.

Obviously it has your standard 9 Volt outputs for your Boss Type Pedals.  You can daisy chain from these outputs as long as you don’t exceed the maximum current of 100mA.  Most overdrive/distortion pedals only draw around 10mA so plenty of capacity there.

The ISO 5 is fully compatible with all Pedaltrain Units and will fit into the supplied Pedaltrain supplied mounting brackets.  Note if your Pedal train did not come with Mounting Brackets you can purchase from HERE.

SPECIAL FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST ONLY

ISO 5 is normally priced at $299 NZD but for the month of August Im selling Eight Units only at $199.  Once payment is received the ISO 5 will be sent by overnight courier (Courier Post) Signature Tracked.

Click here to purchase and use the coupon code ISO5100

Have a great rest of the week!

Pigtronix Effects

by John Trueman on May 08, 2010

We have the Pigtronix Philosophers Tone and PolySaturator in stock.   The Philosophers Tone is great for clean sustain and dirty (stacked with other pedals or using the 'grit' knob).  Likes been fed 18Volts but can take 9V.  The Polysaturator is a great medium to heavy overdrive with a very tweakable EQ section where you can personalise your sound.  At $279 NZD each they are great value for money.

by John Trueman on March 25, 2010

Currently building a new rack rig for myself which will include two pedal power DC and one AC version. Stay tuned for more pics.
